Moris Gkormezanos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He is the Founder & Head of Production at M21 FILMS, a full-service video production company specialising in engaging, personalised creative content production and video marketing strategy for B2B clients. Since December 2020, he is the Drone Cinematography Advisor at the Hellenic Chapter of the World UAV Federation.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Film and Television Production from the University of York (UK) and has worked as a camera assistant on various feature film productions, commercials and television series, including the acclaimed BBC-AMC mini-series “The Little Drummer Girl” directed by Korean auteur Park Chan-wook.
Moris has also worked as a camera operator at the 2018 & 2019 Oxbelly Film Festivals and as a Director of Photography for a range of commercial and corporate clients, and broadcasters, including Jumbo S.A., EXUS Software LTD, Sync Technologies S.A., the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (“Parallel Lives”, 2018-2019), and the Hellenic Parliament Television Network (“From Small to Big: Greek Lyricists”, 2019).
He believes in teamwork and that visual storytelling can unite viewers from different backgrounds by connecting with them on a profound, intrinsic level. When undertaking a project, regardless of its format or genre, Moris’ top priority is to serve the story and engender an emotional and thought-provoking response in the viewer.
